This role involves fabricating and assembling a variety of metal items and equipment using cutting, burning, and welding techniques in a production manufacturing environment. The welder contributes directly to the quality and reliability of finished products by performing precise welds and ensuring components meet required specifications.

Responsibilities

• Cut, burn, and weld metal components to fabricate and assemble various items and equipment according to drawings, specifications, or instructions.
• Perform production welding on repetitive parts and assemblies to support consistent manufacturing output.
• Use stick welding and other welding techniques to join metals safely and effectively.
• Inspect welds and finished components to verify quality, accuracy, and adherence to required standards.
• Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and related tools in proper working condition.
• Follow established manufacturing procedures, safety guidelines, and work instructions while performing welding tasks.
• Coordinate with other production team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of work orders.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safe and efficient operations.

• Proven experience in production welding within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with stick welding techniques for a variety of metal types and thicknesses.
• Ability to perform cutting, burning, and welding operations accurately and safely.
• Capability to follow instructions, basic drawings, or specifications to complete welds and assemblies.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure weld quality and adherence to standards.
• Commitment to safe work practices in a production setting.

• Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing or production environment.
• Familiarity with different welding processes and tools used in fabrication.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other production and fabrication team members.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new welding techniques, equipment, and procedures.

Work Environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hillsborough, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
