Tractor Operator

Chesapeake - VA Chesapeake, VA 23322, USA Description Job Summary Operates gasoline or diesel-powered tractor, compost turner, stake bed trucks, and bobcat. Performs all other duties assigned to satisfy the operational requirements of the contract. Primary Job Functions Moves materials, draw implements, tow-trailers, pull out objects embedded in ground, or pull cable of winch to raise, lower, or load heavy material or equipment. Operatestractor to mow vegetation along roads, ditches,culvertsand other uneven terrain. Fastens attachments such as graders, plows, rollers, mowers (over 2000 lbs.), backhoes, seeders, and disc harrows to tractor, adjusts equipment for proper operation, lubricates and makes minor repairs to tractor and attachments such as tightening bolts, and replacing washers, cotter pins, and screws. Education, Experience and Certification Required: High School Diploma or equivalent. Required: Minimum of 2 years of tractor operation experience. Required: Valid Class C State Driver's License. Working Conditions Outdoor work is subject to extreme temperatures, noise, and inclement weather conditions and other conditionsdeterminedby the nature of the job. Must be able tolift upto 50 lbs.; stand for an8 hourshift Tasks may be performed on uneven, inclined,hardand soft surfaces, cementstructuresand surfaces at variable heights.
