RN, First Assistant (RNFA)

As an RNFA, you would serve as the Surgical First Assistant by directly assisting the surgeon with positioning, prepping and draping the patient, controlling bleeding, providing wound exposure, suturing, mobilizing tissue, and directing other surgical staff. Position RNFA (Registered Nurse First Assistant) Shift Flexible 40 hour work week Experience At least three (3) years of experience in perioperative nursing practice as both scrub and circulator. Education RN Diploma, ASN required; BSN preferred. Completion of a recognized RNFA Program (proof of verification required). Licensures/Certifications PA RN license OR a multi-state license verified in one of the approved states through the Nursing Licensure Compact. Provider BLS (American Heart Association/American Red Cross) required. ACLS required. CNOR Certification within 12 months.
