Job Description: NO LONGER ALLOWING CHRISTMAS RTO MUST WORK 2 OUT OF 3 OF THE HOLIDAY BUNDLES (Thanksgiving & the day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, NYE & NYD) Travelers should expect their assignments will include and may consist primarily of admitted patients NO RQI Certs accepted NM license can pend at time of submission travel experience strongly PREFERRED however if traveler is has 2+ years Level 1 Experience client may consider 36 or 48 hour shifts: 48 hours applies only to travelers with both Level 1 and travel experience Approximately 60%-80% of the Emergency Department is admitted, and many of the ED rooms are "ED Holding" Level 1 trauma experience is preferred No locals within 100 miles COVID Vaccine: optional - UNMH is required to report COVID vaccine numbers. Upload series or Aya declination must have TNCC BEFORE submission NIH can pend until compliance doc due date before the traveler starts Currently seeing an increased number of admit holds. Medication administration, including IV medication via the seven medication rights; document and communicate clinical findings Emergency Department Ratios: 1:5

Years of experience REQ: 2 years of experience required; will review for 1.5 years; Level I Trauma preferred First-timers accepted: Yes but travel experience strongly PREFERRED however if traveler is has 2+ years Level 1 Experience client may consider Weekend REQ: Travelers will be scheduled for weekends as needed. Weekend days constitute Saturday and Sunday, weekend nights are considered Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Is on-call REQ? No Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Floating to Peds ED is optional, Floating to Adult PCUs is an expectation based on staffing needs. Potential floating to ED Holding and Trauma DOE as well. Open to accommodating block schedule? No Locals accepted: No locals within 100 miles Pending License accepted: Yes RTO Restrictions: greater than 7 days needs approval Guaranteed Hours: contracted hours (36/48/40) / week, facility is allowed to call off 3x throughout a 13-week assignment.

FLOATING: ED does have ED holding area, travelers are expected to work per staffing needs. Floating to adult PCU's is an expectation. Many are for Med Surg patients on PCU. This is done based on staffing needs and availability both of the ED, and of the rest of the hospital. This includes specialty needs of the ED, such as Trauma and Triage trained nursing to staff those specific areas.
