Manufacturing Technician

Production Maintenance SupportUnder general supervision, provides support for the maintenance related needs of Production, and supporting equipment within the facility.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:Vacuuming material chip debris to optimize machine functionalityMilling of cubes to verify machining accuracy and qualityRoutine maintenance of milling spindle assembly and air regulatorsMaintaining blank holder assemblyTooling changes, and equipment calibrationDocumentation and reporting of machining faults and error codesPreventive maintenance of 3D print equipment according to training documentsAssist with deliveries and InventoryManagement of warehouse and supporting equipmentAssists and serves as back up to other Facilities employeesWeekly functions include, but are not limited to mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, wiping, washing, polishing and dusting floors, carpet, walls, windows, and doors; trash and recycling removal; cleaning restrooms; stairwells, offices and other areas as required.Performs routine facility and equipment maintenance and other duties as assignedSupervisory Responsibilities: NoneSkills and Abilities:Exeperience in IT or with computer troubleshooting is preferredAbility to use basic hand toolsGood verbal and written communication skills, with ability to receive and respond to work assignments in both formats.Read, comprehend, and work from plans and operating instructions.Follow oral and written instructions; maintain cooperative working relationships; demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for a diverse population.Detail orientation with a mindset towards meeting the Facilities standards for maintenance.Demonstrated time management skills and including multi-tasking.Works independently with limited supervision.CompetenciesTo perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:Planning/Organization – Prioritizes and plans work activities; uses time efficiently; plans for additional resources; sets goals and objectives; organizes or schedules other people and their tasks; develops realistic action plans.Communications – Expresses ideas and thoughts verbally; expresses ideas and thoughts in written form; exhibits good listening and comprehension; keeps others adequately informed; selects and uses appropriate communication methods.
