The Department is seeking physician-scientists for Faculty Career Development Positions in the following areas: Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM), Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI), Gynecologic Oncology (Gyn Onc), Complex Family Planning (CFP), Urogynecology & Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery (URPS), Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS), Hospitalist, or Academic Specialist in Ob/Gyn. The University of California, San Diego offers an outstanding academic environment with well-funded programs in clinical, translational, and basic research spanning cellular, molecular, and systems-level investigations. The initial 2-5 years of the positions are supported by the NICHD-sponsored Women's Reproductive Health Research Career Development K12 Program. The objective of this career development program is to provide advanced training for outstanding physicians in basic, translational, and/or bedside research, thereby fostering the development of independent physician-scientists in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The selected candidates will devote approximately 75% effort to mentored and independent research activities, with anticipated effort allocation of 10-20% for clinical responsibilities and 5-10% for teaching activities. Appointment will be at the Assistant Professor level in the Adjunct series.
