Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Summary:

Seeking an Operating Room RN with pediatric and women's health experience to join a busy surgical unit. The ideal candidate will possess scrub and circulate skills, along with travel experience, to provide high-quality perioperative care for a diverse pediatric and women's patient population.

Responsibilities:

• Perform scrub and circulate duties in pediatric general and women's specialty surgeries.
• Provide preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative patient care in a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical team members to ensure efficient procedures.
• Maintain sterile techniques and manage surgical instruments and supplies.
• Document all patient care activities accurately using Cerner and other charting systems.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including certification renewals and infection control guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience.
• Demonstrate pediatric and women's health surgical experience, with robotic surgery preferred.
• Possess scrub and circulating skills with pediatric and general OR procedures.
• Have travel experience and the ability to work rotating shifts, including call.
• Maintain certifications: BLS, and potentially ACLS/PALS as required.
• Be at least 75 miles from the facility, with pending or active license acceptance.
