Join the Psychiatric Access Team at Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) and help transform lives as a part-time or full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner serving our diverse Commerce City community. Our multidisciplinary teamincluding psychiatrists, nurses, medical assistants, and care coordinatorsprovides state-of-the-art psychiatric care through both in-person and telehealth services. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive medication evaluations, medication management, and psychiatric assessments while collaborating closely with skilled mental health professionals who value resilience, respect, lifelong learning, and whole-person care. We seek a licensed Colorado Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner passionate about serving adults with mental health needs and energized by teamwork, innovation, and the commitment to ensuring accessible, high-quality psychiatric care for all.

Part-time Schedule. We offer flexible work arrangements and are seeking providers to work a hybrid schedule of 20 hours per week (0.5 FTE) with approximately 50% of time spent onsite between the hours of 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday.

Full-time Schedule. We offer flexible work arrangements, either a 5 x 8-hour workweek (Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm) or a 4 x 10-hour workweek. Our hybrid model allows for a mix of remote and in-office work, with an expectation of being in the office two days. This schedule may be adjusted based on patient and community needs.

Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full-time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Fewer than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE. Salary is also based on years of licensure and company equity.

Annually, $122,595.20 - $156,145.60

Essential Functions:

• Provide direct psychiatric services through the comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning and treatment of patients assigned, on a regular basis. As outlined within the State's scope of practice.
• Assure clinicians in assigned services receive appropriate clinical supervision, as necessary.
• Work with multidisciplinary staff to evaluate and triage according to level of acuity, as needed.
• Share 24-hour on call responsibilities with other psychiatrists for residential, outpatient and emergency care, as assigned.
• Maintain availability by telephone for face-to-face evaluation of emergency patients, as appropriate.
• Provide utilization review of all patients in continuing care to ensure appropriate medical/psychiatric services are received, as needed.
• Attend team and other meetings, as necessary.
• Provide consultation with staff on patient care and difficult cases, as needed.
• Understand and comply with organizational goals around quality, compliance, standards, and policies.
• Complete required education and training in a timely manner.
• Accurately and completely document patient care. Provide information to credentialing, payroll, etc. in a timely manner
• Monitor and coordinate care for assigned clients in partnership with the other members of the client's care team.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Nursing with Prescriptive Authority.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry.
• Colorado Nurse Practitioner Licensure Requirement: Per Colorado BHA regulations, you must hold an active Colorado NP license in good standing before providing any client services. Out-of-state multi-state or compact licenses are not sufficient.
• Certified as an advanced practitioner of nursing by the Colorado State Board of Nursing.
• Valid and Current DEA.
• Current knowledge of pharmacology.
• Ability to administer medications and injections.
• Knowledge of diagnoses and theoretical issues related to clinical treatment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn/utilize electronic health record.
• Treatment philosophy consistent with managed care principles.

Required Vaccination and TB Test.
