About the Opportunity

The CoA/GL Lead directs a focused, 10–14 week engagement to design future Chart of Accounts (CoA) and General Ledger (GL) structure ahead of a broader ERP build. The CoA/GL Lead owns the team's day-to-day direction and is the primary point of contact for decisions and status.

Work Arrangement & Professional Standards

\n

This role follows a hybrid work arrangement that includes both on-site and remote work. On-site expectations will be based on program needs, including workshop schedules, stakeholder meetings, and other activities that require or benefit from in-person participation. Candidates should be prepared to work on site in Nashville, TN when the program dictates; however, on-site attendance will not necessarily be required every week. The weekly cadence of on-site and remote days will be coordinated by Brooksource and client leadership based on program priorities and engagement requirements.

Because this role involves frequent, direct, and highly visible interaction with leadership and agency stakeholders, candidates are expected to maintain a consistently professional standard at all times — in person, in writing, and in virtual settings. This includes professional attire and presentation for on-site and client-facing work, clear and courteous communication, punctuality, and sound judgment in representing Brooksource and the client. Professionalism is treated as a baseline expectation for this role, not a differentiator.

Key Responsibilities:

\n

\n
• Lead the day-to-day direction and sequencing of the CoA/GL engagement, coordinating a 3-person team (CoA/GL Lead, COA Finance Architect, ERP Financial Consultant).
\n
• Own and present CoA/GL design decisions and structure recommendations to leadership.
\n
• Serve as the primary point of contact between the CoA/GL team and the assigned Brooksource PM and stakeholders.
\n
• Partner with the Finance Lead Facilitator on a handoff basis — passing finalized CoA/GL decisions and receiving Finance-track reporting pain points and process dependencies in return (this is a handoff relationship, not a shared workshop cadence).
\n
• Track and report engagement progress, open decisions, and risks on a regular cadence to leadership.

Qualifications:

\n

\n
• Demonstrated experience leading Chart of Accounts / General Ledger design engagements on ERP implementation or modernization programs.
\n
• Strong working knowledge of GL structure design, account hierarchies, and the financial-reporting implications of CoA decisions.
\n
• Prior experience in a lead or engagement-management capacity, ideally in a public-sector or large-enterprise ERP context.
\n
• Professional presentation, communication, and conduct required for all client-facing interactions, in person and virtual.
\n
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving state-government engagement with both on-site and remote sessions.
\n
• Prior experience on ERP implementations, business process improvement, or large-scale public-sector transformation programs is strongly preferred.
