Emergency Room Patient Access Representative

We are seeking an experienced Patient Registration Specialist to join our Emergency Department team. This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates with experience in Hospital, Clinical, Emergency Room (ER), or Urgent Care settings . ER experience is highly preferred due to the fast-paced nature of this role.
What You'll Be Doing
- Conduct patient interviews to collect and verify demographic, insurance, and registration information
- Accurately enter patient data into the hospital information system and EMR
- Coordinate patient intake and registration processes in a busy Emergency Department
- Verify insurance eligibility and obtain necessary documentation
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and clinical staff
- Assist with access management and patient account maintenance
- Ensure compliance with hospital registration procedures and privacy guidelines
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Previous experience in a hospital, clinical, ER, or urgent care environment
- Experience with patient intake coordination and registration
- Strong EMR/EHR experience (Epic experience highly preferred)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced setting
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
Preferred:
- Emergency Room (ER) registration experience
- Epic EMR experience
- Experience with insurance verification and patient access functions
- Active Directory and access management knowledge

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
