Health Information Technology Specialist Player Coach This role blends direct field execution with team leadership and is responsible for driving operational excellence, coaching field team members, and serving as a key liaison between the client, the field team, and IQVIA leadership. Responsibilities Identify potential gaps/barriers within EHR systems at priority IDNs and health systems. Problem‑solve and provide solutions for EHR gaps. Identify workflow barriers and recommend scalable solutions. Collaborate with customers, including end users, clinicians, IT informatics teams, quality managers, and analysts to provide meaningful insights and enhance patient care. Align resources to develop comprehensive plans for priority institutions. Conduct workflow assessments to identify gaps in care across the patient journey. Develop and implement customer‑specific plans. Serve as Medical/IT subject‑matter expert for internal and external stakeholders. Optimize EHR systems to address gaps in patient care across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department settings. Coach and mentor the field team (approx. 70% field, 30% leadership). Act as primary contact for the CV Health IT field team, coordinating operational and personnel matters. Support recruiting, onboarding, and performance reviews of new hires. Ensure compliance with credentialing, time reporting, and expense policies. Conduct field visits to observe execution, provide coaching, and identify opportunities for improvement. Share field insights with leadership to support program effectiveness and strategy evolution. Plan and deliver team meetings, training, and educational initiatives for partners and stakeholders. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry trends, EHR developments, customer needs, and competitive dynamics. Adhere to regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and IQVIA policies. Complete administrative and reporting tasks accurately and on time. Travel up to 40–60% as required. Requirements Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Minimum of 4 years of experience designing, building, and/or testing EHR software (Epic, Cerner, Meditech, McKesson preferred). Experience in a health system informatics group or team at a leadership level, or a similar role within a pharmaceutical company. In‑depth knowledge of healthcare and health information technology, and software build or optimization techniques. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Team player comfortable working in a matrix environment. Excellent presentation, oral, and written communication skills. Positive attitude, flexibility, and willingness to travel overnight. Master’s degree in Clinical IT, Pharmacy IT, Nursing Informatics, or related field is preferred. Pharmaceutical or life‑science Health IT specialist experience and B2B or software sales experience are preferred. Compensation The potential base pay range for this role is $135,000 - $145,000 annually. Incentive plans, bonuses, and other benefits may also be offered.
