Title: Heat Press Machine Operator

Location: Sumter, SC 29153

Pay: $18.50 per hour

Schedule: 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.; H Shift — 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off; weekends included

Employment Type: W2 Assignment with potential for extension or conversion to FTE based on business needs

Position Summary

A leading medical technology manufacturer is seeking a Press Operator to support production operations within its Rubber Department. This role is ideal for candidates with previous manufacturing experience who are comfortable working with machinery, hand tools, and quality inspection processes. The position involves working around heated press equipment in a non-climate-controlled environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a heated press machine as part of the rubber manufacturing process
• Conduct quality checks on rubber stopper pads to ensure products meet specifications
• Use a mallet hammer and other hand tools as needed during production
• Safely handle materials and perform physical production tasks throughout the shift
• Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
• Follow established safety, quality, and production procedures

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous manufacturing or production experience required
• Ability to operate machinery and use basic hand tools
• Comfortable working with a mallet hammer and other hand tools
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
• Ability to work a 12-hour shift and follow a rotating H Shift schedule, including weekends
• Steel toe or composite toe shoes are required
• Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment
