Logistics Manager

Job Description This role is to develop and maintain strong relationships with key External Experts (EEs) and act as a single point of contact for logistical needs for EEs who engage in group and individual activities with AbbVie. It is responsible for managing the complexities of EE engagements when participating in AbbVie meetings, ensuring that EEs receive a compliant, well‑executed, and professional experience from pre‑planning through post‑event. The HCP Logistics Manager works with compliance teams, engagement specialists, meeting planners, logistical vendors, and cross‑functional business owners to make sure EEs know who they need to work with at AbbVie without interacting with multiple internal processes and people. Responsibilities Ensure effective, efficient and compliant centralized management of logistical activities involving EEs and providing guidance when an EE attends meetings hosted by AbbVie. Maintain trackers and dashboards to generate useful data analytics and reporting for business units, and track activities involving cross‑divisional EE engagements. Provide updates and feedback to business owners and project managers during the planning process and post‑event, and assure overall global governance is met prior to EE engagements. Consistently demonstrate adherence to compliance requirements and look for ways to improve logistical compliance effectiveness by identifying process inconsistencies and risks. Collaborate with the Business Services Group engagement specialist and OEC to obtain logistical compliance approvals and deviations prior to any EE engagement, and participate in relevant meetings with activity owners, meeting planners, and suppliers. Escalate issues as appropriate, identify process gaps and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement; manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Maintain strong interpersonal and communication skills while working independently. Demonstrate flexibility and adapt to rapidly changing business needs, including handling additional tasks and projects as assigned. Provide customer‑service focused expertise to deliver a flawless experience for the EEs. Travel as required to manage all EE logistical components. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Business preferred; equivalent successful industry experience (6 years full‑time planning with EEs) can be considered. Broad experience establishing and maintaining credibility across functions, with suppliers, and senior management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Preferred: proactive and consultative customer service, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, strong verbal and written communication skills, positive attitude, and problem‑solving skills. Preferred: ability to identify HCP and business needs and respond creatively by listening, asking questions, applying knowledge, and determining solutions. Preferred: knowledge and utilization of AbbVie’s OPPF Guidelines and iComply tool or equivalent compliance exposure. Preferred: ability to work well under pressure, adapt to ever‑changing scenarios, influence without authority, initiate new ideas, and maintain flexibility in day‑to‑day schedules to meet travel requirements. Must be able to travel internationally (75% of travel) and work on weekends when required. Requires flexibility and acceptance of working late evenings, early mornings, and physically standing for multiple hours. Benefits The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
