Senior NetSuite Functional Consultant

Sales, Operations & Business Process Optimization

Type: Contract, estimated six months

We are seeking a hands-on Senior NetSuite Functional Consultant to optimize an existing NetSuite environment, with an initial focus on Sales, Operations, MRP, inventory and supply planning, system integrations, and warehouse processes. The consultant will also support finance, purchasing, fulfillment, reporting, and user adoption.

This is a functional configuration role, not primarily a development engagement. The consultant should  maximize NetSuite’s native capabilities and only recommend custom development or third-party applications when a business requirement cannot reasonably be addressed through configuration, reporting, workflows, training, or process improvements. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, responsive, and committed to delivering measurable progress.

What You’ll Do:

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand current processes, challenges, and priorities.
• Evaluate the existing NetSuite environment and organize a prioritized backlog of improvements.
• Configure and optimize native NetSuite CRM, quoting, pricing, sales orders, fulfillment, and quote-to-cash processes.
• Improve inventory planning, supply planning, procurement, warehouse, order fulfillment, finance, and reporting processes.
• Build and improve Saved Searches, SuiteAnalytics Workbooks, dashboards, KPIs, reports, forms, fields, roles, permissions, and SuiteFlow workflows.
• Assess and troubleshoot integrations and data connections between NetSuite, affiliated companies, warehouse systems, planning tools, reporting platforms, and other business systems.
• Configure, test, document, and demonstrate solutions, creating functional requirements for development only when necessary.
• Evaluate and improve warehouse tickets and other system-generated documents using NetSuite Advanced PDF/HTML Templates.
• Provide user training, communicate progress and blockers proactively, and develop a roadmap for future improvements.

Required Experience:

• Five or more years of hands-on NetSuite functional consulting experience, including  post-go-live optimization, remediation, or stabilization .
• Hands-on experience configuring and optimizing  native NetSuite CRM , including opportunities, quotes/estimates, pricing, sales orders, fulfillment, and quote-to-cash processes.
• Experience supporting a supply-chain, distribution, or inventory-intensive organization with complex inventory planning, procurement, warehouse, and order-fulfillment processes.
• Hands-on experience with  NetSuite MRP or Supply Planning , including demand planning, replenishment, procurement, and long lead-time purchasing.
• Experience configuring  Saved Searches, SuiteAnalytics Workbooks, dashboards, KPIs, reports, SuiteFlow workflows, forms, fields, roles, and permissions .
• Experience troubleshooting NetSuite integrations, data connections, and information flow between related business systems.
• Experience creating or modifying  NetSuite Advanced PDF/HTML Templates , including working knowledge of  HTML/CSS and FreeMarker .
• Experience gathering cross-functional requirements and translating Sales, Operations, finance, and planning needs into configured NetSuite solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to  maximize native NetSuite functionality , minimize unnecessary custom development, and clearly document requirements when development or integration support is genuinely needed.
• Experience organizing and prioritizing system enhancements, training users, and driving adoption, along with exceptional communication, organization, responsiveness, follow-through, and a strong sense of urgency.
• Ability to travel to Dayton, OH for initial discovery.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience implementing or supporting NetSuite Planning and Budgeting or a comparable planning solution.
• Experience evaluating third-party NetSuite applications and determining when they are appropriate.
• Previous experience as a hands-on Lead NetSuite Functional Consultant; NetSuite certifications are a plus.
