Computer Lab Technician - IT
Candidate must have:
- Active CompTIA A+ certification is a must.
- CCNA certification is a plus.
- Hands-on experience on Cisco routers/switches a PLUS.
- Knowledge of generating scripts on CLI.
- Experience in configuring DELL and HP Rack and Tower servers as well as workstations.
- Candidate with knowledge of partitioning hard drives and RAID settings is a plus.
- Candidate should be comfortable with repetition of work such as pulling the server out of the cartons and putting it on the rack and putting it back in and packing it up once it's configured.
- Experience working in an assembly line or having done integration according to checkpoint documentation is a plus.
- Able to work under the pressure and meet deadlines.
- Candidate should be a team player and be able to multi-task, and detail-oriented
Job Description for Cisco Technician & OEM Lab:
- Physical inspection on each device.
- Running scripts on switches and routers.
- Unpacking and packing each unit after technical process.
- Installing and configuring DELL / HP servers and DELL / HP Workstations.
- Setting up RAID and deploying Windows 2008 R2 / 2012 /2016 /2019 Server operating system.
- Activating Client proprietary applications and licenses and windows activations.
- Working parallel on multiple servers.
- Understanding the P/N catalog and completing the label printing according to it.
- Opening the boxes, putting the server on the rack, and preparing them for QC for the supervisor and remote QC if needed.
- Perform base level configuration – where some TROUBLESHOOTING may be required.
- Repetition of work – and process. Preparing some systems as rack ready and plug and play. No high-end installation or configuration is to be done. Work according to a pre-defined checklist.
- A multi-tasking job requires the technician to perform scripting on 2 units at a time.
- Coordinate with the office on the priority of purchase orders and assist the shipping department in getting the skid in and out of the lab using a hand jack, based on priority orders.
- The candidate must be able to lift 50 Lbs.
