About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief AI Development Officer (CAIDO) to serve as its senior enterprise leader for artificial intelligence. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the company's AI strategy, governance framework, and policies to ensure the responsible, secure, and equitable adoption of AI in support of the company's mission and strategic priorities. This role involves leading the development of AI-enabled solutions, creating a common institutional approach to AI, and helping various divisions design and implement AI agents that enhance business processes. The CAIDO will also be instrumental in positioning the company as a national model for responsible AI in higher education, with a focus on preparing students and employees for an AI-driven future. Applicants for the CAIDO position at the company should have a Master's degree in a relevant field and a strong background in AI, software, data, automation, or enterprise technology. The role requires progressive leadership experience and the ability to translate AI technology into practical outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of AI concepts such as large language models, workflow automation, and cloud AI platforms, and experience in developing and implementing technology governance and responsible AI practices. Executive-level communication skills are essential, as is the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and cultivate partnerships. The CAIDO will be expected to deliver AI-enabled solutions across various operations and to define and report on the impact of AI initiatives.
