Roving Maintenance TechnicianOur Roving Maintenance Technicians provide support to the Regional Maintenance Managers and the Maintenance Managers at the communities they are assigned to support while assuming a leadership role in their absence. They provide quality service to our residents, diagnose problems, and make repairs. They are responsible for routine and preventative maintenance repairs, as well as ensuring that Venterra's 48-Hour Service Guarantee is adhered to when completing service requests.The ideal candidate for this role will require EPA Universal or Type I or II HVAC certification, have the flexibility to report on short notice to our neighboring Jacksonville, Florida Communities with reliable transportation and effective verbal communication skills with residents and team members.The Roving Maintenance Technician's role requires a wide range of various maintenance needs to assist on-site maintenance teams in the day-to-day operations of their properties.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following areas of routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance:ElectricalPlumbingHVACAppliance RepairLocks & KeysBasic CarpentryPainting and Drywall RepairJanitorial, GroundsRequirements of the Position:Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbalAbility to take initiative and be a self-starterExcellent customer service skills are a mustPrior experience in the facilities maintenance fieldOn-call coverage for emergencies after hours, weekends, and holidays; Required as neededAbility to respond and remedy maintenance issues in a timely mannerReliable vehicleResponsible for supporting multiple communitiesIf you are motivated to work in a challenging environment, where your results will be recognized and rewarded, you should consider a career with Venterra.
