Patient Access Rep

Patient Access Assoc - PRN, Newton Overview: Serves as patient facing support for the Patient Access Department within Piedmont Healthcare. Ensures patient accounts are complete with valid insurance coverage and current demographic/clinical data. Calculates patient financial responsibility, presents patient financial options/requirements and processes patient payments. Secures patient consent and acknowledgement on required forms/notices. Responsibilities: Serves as patient facing support for the Patient Access Department within Piedmont Healthcare. Qualifications: Education H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required Work Experience 1 year exp in one of the following: Required Healthcare Revenue Cycle Required or Clinical role Required or Related clerical accounting/finance/retail Required or 3 years of healthcare Revenue Cycle experience Preferred Prior Epic experience Preferred Licenses and Certifications None Required Certification with Healthcare Financial Management Association Preferred or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative Preferred Business Unit: Piedmont Healthcare Corporate
