Registered Nurse Intensive Care Unit

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to provide specialized nursing care to critically ill and medically complex patients. The ICU RN is responsible for monitoring patient conditions, administering treatments, collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, and delivering high-quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced critical care environment. Key Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for critically ill patients. Monitor and interpret vital signs, cardiac rhythms, laboratory results, and other clinical indicators. Administer medications, intravenous therapies, blood products, and specialized treatments as prescribed. Operate and monitor advanced life support and critical care equipment, including ventilators and cardiac monitoring devices. Respond rapidly to changes in patient conditions and emergency situations. Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans. Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans, procedures, and recovery expectations. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records (EMR). Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, patient safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to quality improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state. Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN). Minimum of one (1) year of critical care, ICU, acute care, or related nursing experience preferred. Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills. Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Previous experience in Medical ICU, Surgical ICU, Cardiac ICU, Neuro ICU, or Trauma ICU settings. Experience caring for mechanically ventilated patients and those requiring advanced hemodynamic monitoring. Knowledge of evidence-based critical care practices. Experience with continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), vasoactive infusions, and critical care protocols. Certifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) License. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification. Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) Certification (preferred).
