This role blends strong core design craft with fluency in AI-assisted workflows and rapid prototyping, using both to explore, validate, and ship better solutions faster across any kind of project, not just AI-driven ones. Collaborates directly with product management, business, and engineering to develop solutions that meet customer and business needs, staying ahead of emerging design and AI tools to advance the practice of UX/UI design.As a Senior UX/UI designer you will be responsible for building functional prototypes and experimental interfaces to test and de-risk new concepts before full production. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary design and research team that values people, human-centered design and a growth mindset.This position is a hybrid role that requires to be on-site 2-3 days a week at one of the following locations: Bethesda, MD, Seattle, WA, Palo Alto, CAJob ResponsibilitiesCollaborates with product, engineering, and business teams to uncover customer and business needsTranslates complex ideas, including AI-driven and data-informed concepts, into understandable solutions that evolve and enhance the product experienceUnderstands and navigates the emerging AI and generative AI landscape to inform high-quality design solutions across all kinds of projects, not just AI-specific onesAdvocates for a responsible and ethical approach to AI in products and experiencesManages through shifting priorities to provide clear direction and input on product prioritization and support early product definitionAdvocates for the customer through human-centered design methods, including discovery, research, and user testingFacilitates and participates in workshops with internal and external stakeholders to align with business needsCreates process and user flows, wireframes, journey maps, and user interface specifications, using AI tools to accelerate exploration and iterationDelivers design assets for acceptance, development, and delivery to market in partnership with engineeringPreferred QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in a related field5+ years of experience (or 3+ with Masters degree) with User Experience designExperience designing for cross channel e.g. responsive web and native mobile interfacesDemonstrate ability to work across design processes e.g. user research, user experience design, UI design and specificationsDemonstrated experience incorporating AI tools or AI-assisted workflows into design practice, whether developed through formal roles, side projects, or self-directed learningSolid knowledge of AI, ML, and generative AI capabilities and how they apply to product designAbility to design, test, and demonstrate responsible AI interaction patterns through clickable or conversational prototypesAbility to collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Operations teamsEffective communication and storytelling skillsProficiency with design tools (i.e., Figma) and AI-assisted design tools to deliver concepts and enable successful collaboration across teamsFamiliarity with working in an established design system and agile development teamsAnnual Salary$109,675.00 - $172,200.00The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate.
