We are seeking a qualified Physician- PACT to join our team at the Fredericksburg, Veterans Affairs Health Care Center, affiliated with the Richmond, Veterans Affairs Medical Center. The incumbent of this position provides integrated outpatient, accessible health care services with their health care teams who are accountable for addressing a large majority of personal health care needs, developing a sustained partnership with patients, and practicing in the context of family and community. The care is person-centered, team-based, community-aligned, and designed to achieve better health, better care, and lower costs. The incumbent is specifically trained to provide comprehensive primary care services through residency or fellowship training in acute and chronic care settings. The Fredericksburg Veterans Affairs Health Care Center offers a comprehensive range of outpatient services for Veterans in the Northern Virginia and Central Virginia area, including Primary Care and Mental Health services. The establishment of this new health care center is part of the Central Virginia VA Health Care System and the Veterans Health Administration's initiative to enhance access to care for Veterans, thereby providing them with more healthcare options within their communities and fulfilling the mission to deliver exemplary care to our Nation's Heroes. The duties and responsibilities of the Physician - PACT include, but are not limited to the following:

• Provide comprehensive primary care services to a designated panel of patients, including preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic services.
• Conduct thorough examinations, develop differential diagnosis, and design treatment plans.
• Order and interpret laboratory, imaging, and other diagnostic tests.
• Provide counseling and education to patients on health conditions, wellness, and preventive health measures.
• Manage chronic illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia.
• Coordinate care with specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss and plan patient care.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete medical records using the designated electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Ensure all documentation complies with departmental policies, federal regulations, and OPM standards.
• Adhere to ethical and legal standards in all interactions with patients and staff.
• Participate in ongoing professional education and training activities to maintain current medical knowledge and skills.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday; 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM; and/or May be required to work evenings or weekends to meet patient care needs.
