Job Type: Full-Time (Onsite) Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Occasional after-hours or weekend duties may arise but are pre-planned

Job Overview

We are seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to join a growing Cardiology team in Dunn, North Carolina. This position is open to new graduates and experienced providers with an interest in cardiovascular care.

The APP will work closely with cardiologists to deliver comprehensive cardiovascular services in both an outpatient clinic and skilled nursing facility setting. This role offers a supportive, collaborative environment with opportunities for training and professional growth in cardiology.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct patient evaluations, including medical histories and physical examinations with a cardiovascular focus
• Provide cardiology-related care such as routine follow-ups, diagnostic evaluations, medication management, and minor office-based procedures
• Collaborate with cardiologists and healthcare team members to develop individualized treatment plans
• Perform and interpret diagnostic tests, including labs, EKGs, echocardiograms, and imaging studies
• Educate patients on cardiovascular disease management, risk factor reduction, lifestyle modifications, and medication adherence
• Deliver patient-centered care in outpatient and skilled nursing facility settings
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with HIPAA and clinical standards
• Stay current with cardiology guidelines, best practices, and infection control protocols

Qualifications

• Physician Assistant (PA) degree from an accredited program
• Active or eligible North Carolina PA license
• New graduates welcome; cardiology experience preferred but not required
• Strong interest in cardiovascular medicine and willingness to learn
• Knowledge of cardiovascular diagnostics (EKG, imaging review, stress testing, etc.)
• Familiarity with ICD-10 coding and HIPAA compliance
• Basic Life Support (BLS); ACLS preferred
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
