Medical Assistant Cardiology

Medical AssistantJoin our cardiology team as a Medical Assistant, where you'll play a critical role in supporting physicians and delivering high-quality patient care. In this role, you'll work directly with cardiologists to prepare patients for visits, perform key clinical tasks, and help ensure a smooth and efficient workflow in a fast-paced specialty practice. Reporting to the Office Manager and working under the direct supervision of Cardiologist(s), you'll be an essential part of delivering compassionate, patient-centered cardiovascular care.Prepare patients for cardiology visits, including intake, vital signs, and documentationPerform EKGs and assist with cardiac-related clinical proceduresSupport physicians during patient exams and treatmentsDocument patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR)Coordinate patient flow to maintain an efficient clinic environmentProvide excellent customer service to patients in person and over the phoneMaintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical workspaceEnsure compliance with confidentiality, safety, and regulatory standardsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredCompletion of a Medical Assistant program strongly preferred2-4 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, ideally in a cardiology or specialty practice preferredMedical Assistant certification in Massachusetts preferred but not requiredEKG experience requiredAbility to accurately take and record vital signsStrong patient care and customer service skillsExperience with EMR/EHR systems; Meditech and GE Centricity preferredExcellent communication skills (in person and by phone)Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive informationAbility to read, write, and communicate effectively in EnglishWork closely with experienced cardiologists in a specialized clinical settingBuild and expand your skills in cardiovascular careBe part of a collaborative, patient-focused teamOpportunity for professional growth in a high-demand specialty
