ARRT MRI Technologist - Weekend Specialist

Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Midwest region as an ARRT-certified MRI Technologist specializing in weekend shifts. In this role, you will perform high-quality Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures, ensuring accurate sectional anatomic images to support diagnostic needs. Your responsibilities include preparing patients by providing clear instructions to ease anxiety, operating MRI equipment with precision, and selecting appropriate scanning protocols as directed by radiologists. You will also assist licensed practitioners during procedures, administer contrast media safely, and evaluate image quality for diagnostic accuracy. Patient care is paramount, including attending to physical and psychological needs during imaging and initiating basic life support if necessary. Additional duties involve maintaining equipment, managing supplies, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives within the imaging department. This position offers part-time weekend hours with potential on-call duties to provide technical support beyond scheduled shifts. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduation from an accredited School of Radiographic Technology is essential. Experience: Prior experience as a radiographer with a solid knowledge base in MRI procedures and cross-sectional anatomy is preferred. Computer proficiency is necessary. Requirements: Must hold current state certification and be an ARRT Registered Technologist (R.T.(R)) in good standing. ARRT MRI certification (R.T.(MR)) is required at hire or must be obtained within two years. Commitment to maintaining licensure and certifications is mandatory.
