Full Job Description:

We are seeking a physician assistant (PA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist the supervising neurosurgeon in the OR
• Conduct physical exams, pre-operative and post-operative patient assessments, order and interpret tests, prescribe medications
• Manage patient care in inpatient, outpatient, and clinic setting
• Evaluate patient problems in person or via phone and provide appropriate intervention or referral
• Counsel patients and their families on preventive health care
• Plan treatment and document information using eClinicalWorks (eCW) EMR
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure efficient data management using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
• Responsible for coding and compliance regarding charges generated
• Collaborate with the neurosurgeon to develop and implement patient care plans.

Qualifications

• Texas licensed & Board-Certified Physician Assistant
• Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program
• The PA will be currently licensed to practice as a physician assistant in the State of Texas and maintain such license in good standing at all times
• The PA will report to the physician and will be responsible for meeting CME requirements to maintain certification and licensure.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and medical staff
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
