Lead Steward/Dishwasher - Seattle Convention Center

The Lead Steward is responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of dishes, serve ware, equipment, etc. In addition, the individual may perform other serviceable duties as assigned. The Lead Steward may be responsible for the oversight or delegation of responsibilities within the stewarding operation. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.

Compensation: The hourly rate for this position is $25.73 to $26.63. Job Responsibilities:

• Schedules and assigns daily work assignments and oversees the completion of tasks
• Trains and guides staff on job duties and procedures
• Ensures guest satisfaction by maintaining all dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, equipment, and kitchen utensils are cleaned and sanitized
• Maintains dishwashing station, three compartment sink and related areas cleaned
• Ensures equipment is clean and in working condition; reports any issues to management
• Performs other light maintenance and custodial tasks
• Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guest, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
• Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
• Ensures security of company assets

Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager

Qualifications:

• Effectively leads teams
• Punctual
• Able to work long hours, weekends and holidays as needed to meet event driven business needs
• Previous supervisory experience in a related role preferred
• Demonstrates an understanding of basic sanitation procedures
• Must be able to follow basic safety procedures due to exposure to hazardous chemicals
• Must be able to obtain Washington State Food Worker card

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
