Assistant Medical Director – Geriatric Psychiatry Inpatient Unit St Vincent’s Medical Center (10427), Hartford HealthCare, Bridgeport, CT. Summary St. Vincent’s Behavioral Health Services seeks a psychiatrist to serve as Assistant Medical Director and Medical Director of the geriatric psychiatry inpatient unit, engaging in patient care, resident supervision, medical student teaching, and academic appointment with the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine. Responsibilities Provide clinical leadership for the multidisciplinary geriatric psychiatric treatment team. Deliver high‑quality psychiatric and substance use treatment to elderly and medically complex patients. Participate in patient care, resident supervision, and medical student teaching. Serve as the Medical Director of the geriatric psychiatry inpatient service. Collaborate with faculty peers and engage in academic activities with the university. Qualifications Board‑eligible or board‑certified Adult Psychiatry (BE/BC). Preference for candidates who have completed a geriatric psychiatry fellowship or have experience treating older adults with medically complex conditions.
