JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

• Department: WOMENS EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT
• Shift Timing: 19:00-7:30 Hours Monday to friday (2X12 HRS & 2X8 HRS PER WEEK)
• Per Week : 40 Hours

The Emergency Room is a 20 bed unit with a 3:1 Ratio on a normal day to day census. On busier days, it may increase to 5:1.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

QUALIFICATIONS

• BLS and ACLS
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• The ability to stand for extended periods.
• Strong technical skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Passionate about patient care
• Requires a minimum of two years of current RN Emergency Room experience.
• Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
• Active unencumbered RN Rhode Island state license
• One year of Cerner experience

Requirements
• COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.
