Minimum Requirements Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited educational program. Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA. Active Texas state SLP license is required to start the assignment. BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required. Experience in skilled nursing facility settings is required. Experience with dysphagia management and adult neurogenic communication disorders is required. Proficiency in electronic medical records documentation is required. Preferred: Experience with tracheostomy and ventilator weaning protocols.
