Job Title : Research Associate III - Assay Development

Location : Oro Valley, AZ

Work Model : Onsite

Hours : M-F normal business hours

Compensation : $34.00/hr

Type : 2-year contract, Potential for extension or conversion to permanent



Responsibilities

• Conduct research, development, and manufacturing laboratory experimentation to support company projects.
• Design, execute, and interpret experiments and apply technical expertise toward project strategies.
• Prepare technical reports, summaries, protocols, and quantitative analyses and present results to the team, while maintaining complete, accurate laboratory documentation in compliance with company policies (e.g., GMP, GLP, Design Control).
• Design and execute experimental protocols with minimal supervision, including making observations and analyzing data.
• Prepare and present technical reports, summaries, and quantitative analyses; maintain complete and accurate records.
• Troubleshoot problems and institute corrective actions.
• Work collaboratively in a team environment by providing creative solutions and input to project planning.
• Contribute to process improvement suggestions and assist in identifying patentable inventions.
• Train colleagues and monitor work to ensure quality and continuous adherence to the Quality First Time principle.
• Exercise judgment in selecting appropriate methods and techniques for complex problems.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences
• Experience: 4-6 years of relevant post-college job experience.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in a range of specialized wet laboratory techniques (e.g., pipetting, using a balance and stir plate, etc.); capable of searching scientific literature; skilled with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
• Soft Skills: Good communication and presentation skills, meticulous attention to detail, coachable, collaborative, and a proven ability and desire to learn.

• Preferred: Experience with SAFe/Agile planning processes and reporting frameworks
