Travel RN – Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Nights

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 12-bed Progressive Care Unit serving a mixed medical patient population
• Maintain a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio during night shift operations
• Collaborate with a night shift team including charge nurse and patient care technicians
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Meditech EMR
• Participate in unit float rotation as required
• Demonstrate teamwork and a positive attitude in a fast-paced PCU environment

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Texas or compact state eligibility
• Minimum 1 year of PCU, IMC, or Step-Down nursing experience
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR or ability to quickly adapt to electronic medical records systems
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Current BLS certification; additional certifications as required by unit standards

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a PCU or Step-Down setting
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and progressive care patient populations
• Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to integrate quickly into existing care teams
