Responsibilities Licensed Social Work Clinical Practice Interact professionally and with persons of all ages and from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, educational, racial and ethnic backgrounds, genders, sexual orientations, lifestyles, and physical abilities. Professional Development Maintain and enhance knowledge base and skill set through educational opportunities and meet expectations set forth by State licensure, Hospital and departmental standards. Qualifications Education: Master's Degree from an accredited school of social work. Experience: For Connecticut – 3000 hours of post-masters social work experience and 100 hours of post-masters clinical supervision. For Rhode Island – 24 months licensed as Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker under appropriate supervision. Licensure: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) from Connecticut, or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) from Rhode Island, or other state license requiring endorsement and meeting requirements. Special Skills: Empathy, active listening, critical thinking, strong organizational and computer skills, effective communication and advocacy for patients and families.
