Education Research, Financial Aid Optimization Analyst

Position Summary Our partner institutions approach us with increasingly complex enrollment and financial sustainability challenges. As a Financial Aid Optimization Analyst, you will support project work streams utilizing analytic tools, established methodologies, and innovative modeling techniques to implement comprehensive, data‑driven financial aid strategies. You’ll collaborate with client staff and senior engagement teams to provide meaningful analysis that informs institutional decision‑making. Responsibilities Help clients achieve organizational effectiveness, improve student outcomes, implement new technologies, and align resources to ensure long‑term sustainability. Work closely with experienced consultants and analysts on financial aid modeling, econometric tools, and strategic enrollment management. Required Qualifications Current U.S. work authorization. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Minimum of 1 year of experience in consulting, higher education, or relevant work experience. Strong analytical reasoning skills and proficiency in Excel or other analytic tools. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment with keen attention to detail. Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and visual. Preferred Qualifications Experience in financial aid, admissions, enrollment management, or institutional research, leveraging data to inform decision‑making and optimize performance. Familiarity with statistical tools or programming languages such as R, Python, or SQL. Experience with data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Comfortable using emerging AI tools to improve efficiency, strengthen analysis, support research, and enhance communication while applying sound judgment and data stewardship. Compensation & Benefits The estimated base salary range for this role is $55,000–$75,000. Including annual incentive compensation, the total estimated compensation range is $59,400–$84,000. The position is also eligible for Huron’s benefit plans, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, wellness programs, a 401(k) plan with employer match, paid time off, and parental leave.
