Job Purpose:

To ensure the accuracy of financial reports, budgets, expenditure, and revenue. Manage, delegate, and participate in accounting department tasks.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

- CPA preferred

- 5 to 7 years of progressive accounting experience

- 2+ years managerial experience preferred

- Thorough understanding of GAAP, accounts payable, accounts receivable, closing procedures and financial statements

- Project management experience

- Strong organizational & prioritization skills

- Excellent leadership, communication and collaboration skills

- Comfortable using various ERP systems & software. Epicor knowledge preferred.

- Advanced user of Microsoft Excel.

- Able to pass pre-employment background check and drug test.

Environment:

Air conditioned office environment; working at a desk and on a computer for most of the day. 10% travel in support of the business. Part of a national team unit, working within an international (matrix) organization. Occasional exposure to warehouse conditions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Support and manage the daily operations of the accounting department including: accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit/collections and general ledger functions.

2. Prepare bank account reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.

3. Responsible for monthly journal entries and accruals.

4. Perform month end close and year end close.

5. Prepare, review and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.

6. Oversee tax reporting including federal income tax, state income tax, property tax and state sales tax.

7. Assist with annual budget process.

8. Company wide ERP system support.

9. Prepare data and coordinate year end audit with external auditors.

10. Develop staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees as well as planning, monitoring and reviewing job performance.

11. Assist with planning, implementing, and supervising the company's financial strategy.

12. Assist with audits and/or analysis tasks when needed.

13. May perform other duties as assigned.
