Role Description The Loan Officer Assistant is a full-time, on-site position located in the DMV Area. In this role, the assistant supports loan officers with gathering and organizing borrower documentation, preparing loan files, and tracking application status through the underwriting process. Daily responsibilities include communicating with clients, lenders, and internal team members, scheduling appointments, and updating records in the loan origination system. The role also involves reviewing forms for completeness, following up on outstanding items, and helping ensure compliance with company and industry guidelines. The Loan Officer Assistant contributes to a smooth, efficient loan experience by maintaining accurate information and delivering responsive customer service. Qualifications Experience supporting Loan Officers or working in a loan processing or assistant capacity in the Mortgage Industry. Knowledge of basic mortgage products and processes, with familiarity in areas related to Underwriting and loan documentation. Strong Customer Service focus, with the ability to build rapport and respond to borrower needs in a professional, timely manner. Clear, professional Communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with clients, lenders, and internal teams. High attention to detail and accuracy when handling documents and data entry. Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines, prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with standard office software and loan origination or CRM systems is preferred.
