SENIOR RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST, CORRECTIONAL FACILITY (SPECIALIST)

Job Summary Senior Radiologic Technologist (CF Specialist) – Perform advanced diagnostic imaging for inmates and staff, lead and supervise radiologic technologists, ensure safety and compliance within the correctional facility. Responsibilities Perform the most difficult technical radiological work, including X‐ray and other diagnostic imaging procedures. Provide lead direction and supervision to lower‑level radiologic technologists, CF staff, and inmate‑workers. Maintain order, supervise inmate conduct, and protect the safety of persons and property during imaging operations. Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and regulatory requirements. Minimum Qualifications Current valid certificate as a certified Radiologic Technologist in diagnostic radiologic technology issued by the California State Department of Health Services. One of the following: One year of experience performing duties of a Radiologic Technologist in a Correctional Facility. Three years of experience, including training under an accredited medical radiologist. One year of experience and successful completion of a two‑year training program approved by the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the AMA and the American College of Radiology. Must qualify and pass the Senior Radiologic Technologist, CF (Specialist) examination. Special Requirements Background investigation clearance before hiring. Medical clearance before hiring. Work Location Folsom State Prison, Folsom, California. Employment Type 12‑Month Limited Term – Full Time (may be extended up to 24 months or made permanent).
