Nurse Practitioner- Cardiac Services Non -Invasive Diagnostic Testing ( Per Diem)

City/State: White Plains, New York Department: Cardiology Services - Cardiology Work Shift: Day Work Days: PER DIEM Location: White Plains Hospital, White Plains, NY Schedule: Per Diem (minimum 2 shifts every 4 weeks, weekends required) Pay Rate: $80-$106 per hour Job Summary Provide primary care services, including assessment, diagnosis, prescribing, treatment, and patient education in collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary teams. Work within the scope of practice and participate in performance improvement, research, and educational activities. Focus on patient-centered care and uphold the standards of the American Nurses Association and White Plains Hospital. Essential Functions Understand and adhere to White Plains Hospital performance standards, policies, and behaviors. Perform patient health assessments, including history and physical examination. Perform diagnostic procedures as permitted by privileges. Conduct preventive screenings based on age and medical history. Order diagnostic tests and evaluate results to formulate diagnoses. Formulate appropriate diagnoses using history, examination, and clinical findings. Plan and provide care within available policies, procedures, and resources, incorporating relevant research. Involve patients and families in care planning. Collaborate with physicians and other health care providers to coordinate care and monitor progress toward health goals. Prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies according to privileges. Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic procedures and tests within scope of privileging. Provide patient and family education related to health status. Evaluate effectiveness of the plan of care by comparing patient responses to planned outcomes. Collaborate and communicate effectively with all health care team members. Document patient care thoroughly and in a timely manner. Participate in education of health care professionals and students through mentoring, precepting, and professional development activities. Engage in professional associations and publications that advance nursing practice. Continuously develop clinical knowledge and skills through continuing education and literature review. Participate in performance evaluation and create development plans. Adhere to the standards of care and practice established by White Plains Hospital Center. Accept and abide by the Ethical Code for Nurses as established by the American Nurses Association. Practice within the regulations of the New York State Nurse Practice Act. Maintain nurse practitioner specialty certification with the American Nurses Credentialing Center or other national bodies, and with the New York State Department of Education. Incorporate guidelines and standards from state and national bodies into clinical practice. Demonstrate effective stress management, problem solving, and professional behavior. Manage time effectively for special projects related to nursing practice. Integrate quality improvement and research into practice. Participate in systematic reviews of records and treatment plans for peer review, self-evaluation, and quality improvement. Support research by defining questions and/or conducting studies in the practice setting. Maintain current collaborative practice agreements. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required. Registered Nurse license in New York State. Minimum 1-3years of experience, with at least two years in an acute care setting preferred. Clinical proficiency in acute care, oncology, and critical care settings. Strong teamwork, adaptability, communication, problem‑solving, planning, and organizational skills. Stress tolerance and project‑management abilities. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. National Nurse Practitioner certification required. Current oncology specialty certification (e.g., AOCNP®, AOCNS®, AOCN®, BMTCN®, CPHON®, CPON®, CBCN®, OCN®) or equivalent, with ongoing education of 36 cancer‑related contact hours every three years.
