Social Media & Content Marketing Specialist Location: Primarily Remote | Periodic in-person meetings and events in Des Moines, Iowa Job Type: Part-Time Contract | Flexible hours, up to 20 hours per week based on business needs Employment Options: W-2 or 1099, depending on engagement structure About the Role P3+Uplift is looking for a creative, self-motivated Social Media & Content Marketing Specialist to help grow our brand, expand our digital presence, and tell the P3+Uplift story. We're looking for someone who doesn't just wait for content assignments. We want someone who brings ideas to the table, stays on top of emerging social media and marketing trends, experiments with new content formats, and looks for creative ways to increase engagement and visibility. You'll work closely with company leadership to create written, visual, and video content; manage our social media presence; support digital marketing initiatives; and help showcase our people, services, culture, client successes, and expertise. What You'll Do Create Engaging Content: Develop, write, edit, and publish content for social media, blogs, website updates, email campaigns, thought leadership, events, recruiting initiatives, and other marketing needs. Manage Social Media: Create platform-specific content for LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and other relevant channels. Manage scheduling, posting, engagement, and community interaction. Bring New Ideas: Stay current on social media trends, emerging platforms, AI-assisted tools, content formats, and digital marketing best practices. Recommend and test new ideas that could improve our reach and engagement. Tell Our Story: Find creative ways to showcase our employees, company culture, client successes, services, events, and expertise through written, visual, and video content. Support Marketing Strategy: Partner with company leadership on campaigns supporting brand awareness, recruiting, client engagement, events, and business development. Track Performance: Monitor social media and content performance, identify what's working, and use data to continuously improve content, campaigns, posting strategies, and audience targeting. Build Community: Professionally and authentically engage with followers, clients, prospects, partners, influencers, and relevant brands to strengthen P3+Uplift's online presence. What We're Looking For Experience in social media, content creation, digital marketing, copywriting, or a related role. Strong writing, editing, communication, and storytelling skills. Strong understanding of LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and evolving social media trends. Ability to create or coordinate short-form video, graphics, captions, scripts, and other digital content. Creative mindset with a strong eye for design, tone, detail, and brand consistency. Self-motivated and comfortable taking ownership of projects with minimal supervision. Ability to identify opportunities and bring new ideas forward rather than waiting for direction. Experience with social media scheduling, analytics, audience targeting, and paid or boosted content. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Nice to Have Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar design and video-editing tools. Knowledge of SEO, keywords, search intent, and digital content optimization. Experience using AI-assisted writing, design, video, research, or marketing tools. Experience with influencer marketing, partnerships, community building, or brand ambassador programs. Experience creating content for professional services, technology, recruiting, consulting, or B2B organizations. Photography or video production experience.
