Pride Health is hiring Lab Assistant to support our client’s medical facility based in Chantilly, VA. This is a Contract job with a possible extension opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Title: Lab Assistant

Location: Chantilly, VA

Schedule: 1st shift / 2nd shift / 3rd shift

Pay Range/Salary Range: $20 - $24

Contract Duration: 3+ months

Job Description:

\n
• Receive, sort, and prepare specimens for testing.
\n
• Perform specimen processing, aliquoting, slide preparation, and inoculation.
\n
• Operate laboratory computer systems and maintain records.
\n
• Conduct routine instrument maintenance and QA/QC activities.
\n
• Resolve pending lists and locate missing samples.
\n
• Prepare reagents and media as needed.
\n
• Store, retrieve, and document specimens and temperature logs.
\n
• Decontaminate work areas and dispose of biohazardous materials.
\n
• Perform weekly radioactive wipe tests.
\n
• Change gas cylinders and follow all PPE and safety requirements.
\n
• Complete required training and competency assessments.
\n

Qualifications:

\n
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
\n
• Medical assistant training preferred.
\n
• Math and science coursework preferred.
\n
• No prior experience required.
\n

Skills:

\n
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
\n
• Ability to retain and apply learned information.
\n
• Professional and courteous communication skills.
\n
