This critical role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of commercial refrigeration and HVAC/R systems, coupled with a strong background in Building Automation Systems. Responsibilities: Performing routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with HVAC/R equipment and systems, and recommending suitable solutions. Installing and configuring Building Automation Systems to optimize energy efficiency and system performance. Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations for HVAC/R systems and equipment. Collaborating with the engineering team to design and implement new HVAC/R systems and modifications. Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior staff members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Keeping accurate records of all maintenance, inspection, and repair work for future reference. Staying current with the latest HVAC/R technologies and industry trends, and applying this knowledge to improve our systems and processes. Qualifications: A minimum of 8 years of experience in HVAC/R maintenance and repair, with a strong emphasis on commercial and industrial refrigeration systems. Proven experience with Building Automation Systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide junior staff members, with a commitment to professional development and learning. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex HVAC/R issues. Strong knowledge of safety and environmental regulations pertaining to HVAC/R systems and equipment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. A valid HVAC/R certification or equivalent technical qualification. Physical fitness and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy equipment. Availability to work on-call and respond to emergency situations as needed.
