Certified Phlebotomist II - Laboratory - Full Time 8 Hour Night Shift (Union)

Responsibilities The Certified Phlebotomist II is the Department's primary support system and is responsible for procuring blood samples from patients, preserving the integrity of specimens, and properly transporting, processing, and preparing all samples. Support from Laboratory Assistants also includes clerical functions such as answering telephone inquiries from other departments, disseminating laboratory reports, and communicating with referral laboratories utilized by the department. Qualifications Minimum Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. Minimum Experience: At least two (2) years of experience as a Phlebotomist in a hospital setting preferred. License/Certification: Current CPT License; Current BCLS Certification from the American Heart Association. Compensation The hourly rate range for this position is $24.36 to $32.78.
