Shift Details:

• 9:30am-6:00pm

• 40 hrs / week

Phlebotomist Duties & Responsibilities:

• Collect blood specimens from patients using venipuncture and capillary techniques.

• Verify patient identity and ensure proper specimen labeling.

• Prepare patients for blood collection by explaining procedures and addressing concerns.

• Process, store, and transport laboratory specimens according to established protocols.

• Maintain accurate patient and specimen documentation.

• Follow infection control, safety, and quality assurance standards.

• Monitor patients for adverse reactions during or after specimen collection.

• Maintain and sanitize phlebotomy equipment and work areas.

• Collaborate with laboratory staff and healthcare providers to ensure timely specimen processing.

• Provide compassionate, professional patient care throughout the collection process.

**Minimum Qualifications **

• Valid certification/ license to practice in the state of PA as a Phlebotomist

• High school diploma/ GED equivalent

• Minimum of one (1) year related work experience.

• Additional certifications may be required.

• Copy of current, completedPrimary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
