Payroll & HR Administrator

We're looking for a detail-oriented HR & Payroll Administrator to run weekly payroll and support the full HR cycle, with secondary support for accounting. This role handles confidential information with a high level of discretion and is comfortable working in timeclock and ERP systems. What You'll Do HR & Payroll (primary) Process weekly payroll with a high level of detail and accuracy, including certified or prevailing wage payroll where required. Review timeclock data and resolve exceptions with supervisors before payroll is finalized. Prepare and file federal, state, and local payroll tax filings in house. Support the full HR cycle, from hiring and onboarding to separations. The administrative team handles day-to-day contact with new hires. Administer benefits, leave, and HR compliance, and elevate HR matters to the President. Accounting Support (secondary) Support accounts receivable, accounts payable entry, and credit card reconciliations, and back up accounting staff as needed. Systems, Audit & Records Administer the timeclock system and use the ERP for payroll, job costing, and reporting. Prepare support for workers' comp, 401(k), and financial audits. Keep personnel and payroll files organized, secure, and confidential. What You Bring 3–5+ years of hands‑on HR and payroll experience, preferably in construction or the trades. Associate's or bachelor's degree in HR, accounting, business, or a related field. Knowledge of wage and hour law and experience preparing payroll tax filings in house. Certified, prevailing wage, or union payroll experience. Audit experience and basic accounting knowledge. Tech‑savvy with timeclock and ERP systems, plus strong Excel skills. High level of discretion and exceptional attention to detail. Professional communication with employees, vendors, and customers. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
