We have a mission that matters!Description of WorkKnowledge Skills and Abilities/Management PreferencesThis Position is located at Greene Correctional Institution in Greene County, NC.This position is responsible for:· Development, Implementation, Maintenance and Supervision of significant correctionprograms at a minimum custody correctional facility· Coordinate offenders' activities and support security operations· Coordinate volunteer programs, recreation and supportive counseling· Considerable contact with community agencies to enrich programs and establish newprograms· Work with contract agencies/service provides to ensure effective delivery of programming· Work under stressful conditions caused by direct contact with incarcerated offenders who canbecome physically violent and verbally abusive, capable of defending oneself against attackby a violent person· Communicate effectively in verbal and written form with staff, offenders and the general public.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences:Salary Range $39,244 - $68,679Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement. Facilities are categorized by custody levels (minimum, medium, close) and house individuals serving sentences for felony convictions.
