About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Accounting to oversee and direct its financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of core accounting activities, including ledger management, payables, receivables, payroll, and formal financial reporting. This leadership role demands a focus on safeguarding reporting accuracy, strengthening compliance, and working closely with senior leadership to enhance processes and provide valuable financial insights. The VP of Accounting will also be instrumental in building the necessary financial structure to support the organization's growth. Key responsibilities for the VP of Accounting at the company include leading the preparation of financial statements, managing the period-end close process, and designing and monitoring internal control frameworks. The role requires a strategic approach to establishing accounting policies and operational procedures that promote standardization and best practices. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a preference for a Master's degree, and must hold a CPA designation. A minimum of 10 years' progressive accounting experience, with a strong command of U.S. GAAP and corporate financial reporting practices, is essential. The role also involves managing relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies, as well as supporting acquisition-related work and championing process improvements and finance system optimization.
