Manufacturing Technician - Tools & Equipment

Pay: $24.75/hr
Shift: Multiple Shifts Available

Hire Sync is hiring Manufacturing Technicians - Tools & Equipment for a leading union manufacturing facility in Cleveland. We are seeking mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy working with tools, equipment, measurements, and hands-on problem-solving in a fast-paced industrial environment.

This position plays a key role in maintaining and reconditioning the tooling and equipment that keep production running efficiently. If you have experience using hand tools, reading measurements, working in manufacturing, or performing mechanical repairs, this could be an excellent long-term career opportunity.

What You'll Do

• Assemble, clean, maintain, and recondition tooling and equipment used in manufacturing operations
• Inspect tooling for wear, cracks, finish quality, and dimensional accuracy
• Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and gauge pins
• Operate grinders, drills, files, and other hand and power tools to restore tooling components
• Review blueprints, tooling prints, and technical drawings
• Analyze worn or damaged tooling and assist in determining repair solutions
• Document measurements, inspections, and repair findings
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and plant policies
• Assist with additional tooling and equipment support as needed

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Manufacturing, machining, maintenance, tooling, or mechanical experience preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Experience using hand tools and power tools
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, or specifications
• Crane experience is a plus
• Ability to pass a mechanical aptitude assessment
• Dependable attendance and a strong commitment to safety

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and move throughout the shift
• Regular lifting of up to 40 pounds
• Ability to work around industrial machinery, vibration, noise, and heat
• Ability to safely work in active manufacturing areas with material movement and overhead lifting equipment
• Must be able to wear required PPE including hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe footwear
