Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary students near Littleton, CO, as a contract Social Worker. This part-time role (20 hours per week) is instrumental in delivering essential social work services in an educational setting, making a tangible difference for young learners. The position is set to start as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year on 5/21/27.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid licensure or certification as a School Social Worker (or eligibility for certification in Colorado)
- Demonstrated experience in school or pediatric social work, particularly at the elementary level
- Familiarity with social-emotional learning, crisis intervention, and service plan delivery
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent organizational, communication, and advocacy skills
- Commitment to confidentiality and ethical practice in student services
Principal Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct social work support tailored to the unique needs of elementary school students
- Conduct assessments, develop intervention strategies, and monitor progress for students requiring additional support
- Facilitate group and one-on-one meetings with children to address social, emotional, or behavioral needs
- Collaborate with school staff and external agencies to ensure a comprehensive approach to student well-being
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, provide progress documentation, and contribute to team discussions
- Support crisis response efforts and provide expert guidance on interventions and referrals
