Senior Project Accountant

Overview Headfarmer is collaborating with a well-established, large construction firm in Gilbert, Arizona. Together, we’re in search of a Senior Accountant with strong construction accounting experience. You will own month end responsibilities, which includes maintaining WIP schedules, job cost reporting, AIA billing support and more. This role is fully in office, working on site Monday through Friday. This role is a consulting position with the possibility of becoming a long-term position. Candidates must be available to interview and start right away. Responsibilities Your primary job functions will include: Manage general ledger functions such as preparing and posting journal entries and account reconciliations, as well as own reporting and month-end close processes Prepare and analyze job cost reports, WIP (work-in-progress) schedules, and project profitability reporting Assist with billing and AIA pay applications, subcontractor invoicing, and lien waiver tracking Partner with project managers and operations teams to ensure accurate cost coding and financial reporting Assist with audits, financial reporting, and compliance requirements, like internal controls and documentation Qualifications Experience, qualifications and skills required: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance strongly preferred Must have 4+ years of month end and/or project-based accounting experience Strong understanding of job costing, WIP reporting, and project billing processes Must have ERP software experience, such as Viewpoint, Procore, Sage, NetSuite or similar Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively #J-18808-Ljbffr Headfarmer
