Chandler, AZ, United StatesPosition SummaryLocated onsite in Chandler, AZ We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Finance/Accounting organization. This is a hands-on role reporting to the Assistant Controller. This role is responsible for executing core accounting functions and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This Senior Accountant will play a key role in the month-end close, reconciliations, compliance support, and government contract accounting support.The ideal candidate is a “doer” who thrives on learning quickly and taking ownership of assigned accounting tasks. This role is well-suited for someone who wants to grow their career by gaining exposure to complex accounting areas, government contracting, and audit processes, while contributing to the overall success of the Controller Team.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform daily, monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting tasks, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations and flux analysisAssist in preparing monthly and quarterly financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and corporate reporting deadlinesSupport intercompany transactions and consolidation reporting requirementsSupport cost and inventory accounting including physical inventory counts and inventory reservesSupport capital expenditures tracking and ensure proper classification of capital vs expense in accordance with U.S. GAAPManage certain accruals, prepaid expenses, and other general ledger activitiesPrepare schedules and documentation for external audits and support audit requestsAssist with maintaining compliance with SOX and internal control requirementsContribute to government contract accounting and reporting, including DCAA compliance supportPrepare and submit local, state, and federal government reports and tax filings as assignedCollaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and improve processesAssist with system upgrades, automation initiatives, and process improvements to increase efficiencyTake initiative on projects and demonstrate a willingness to learn from senior team membersQualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA preferred3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing or government contractingSolid understanding of U.S. GAAP; exposure to SOX and government contracting financial regulations is a plusProficiency with accounting ERP systems (Oracle Fusion preferred) and Microsoft Office SuiteAdvanced Excel skills preferred.Strong organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently while being a collaborative team playerUS citizenship is required due to government contract workIdeal Candidate AttributesHands-on, execution-driven, and energized by “rolling up their sleeves” to get the work doneDetail-oriented and committed to producing high-quality, accurate resultsThrives in a fast-paced environment with shifting prioritiesCurious, adaptable, and excited by opportunities to learn new systems and processesCollaborative mindset — enjoys working with peers and cross-functional partnersSelf-starter who takes initiative and ownership of tasks#LI-RG1#LI-OnsiteRalliant Corporation OverviewRalliant, originally part of Fortive, now stands as a bold, independent public company driving innovation at the forefront of precision technology.
