Strategic Tax & Accounting, LLC is an established public accounting firm seeking an experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our team. This role is ideal for a tax and accounting professional who can independently manage client engagements, communicate directly with clients, and take ownership of their work.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of public accounting with concentration in tax preparation
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- Strong tax preparation experience
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
- Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines with minimal supervision
- QuickBooks Online and/or QuickBooks Desktop experience
- Lacerte Tax Software experience
- EA or CPA designation (or actively pursuing)
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review individual, partnership, and S corporation tax returns
- Manage accounting engagements for multiple clients
- Perform monthly and quarterly accounting review services
- Prepare financial statements and related workpapers
- Assist with tax planning and projections
- Communicate directly with clients to request information and provide guidance
- Conduct tax research and assist with IRS and state correspondence
